Bharathidhasan Matriculation Higher Secondary School is a prestigious educational institution established in 1986 in Orikkai Village, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. Founded by the visionary leaders Thiru K.T.S. Mani Iyah and Thirumathi M. Manogari Mani, the school began with just seven students and classes up to V in a modest building.
The primary mission was to make quality English-medium education accessible to children from rural backgrounds, especially from underprivileged communities. Over nearly four decades, the school has grown into a thriving centre of excellence while staying true to its founding values of education, discipline, and service to society.

Son of the esteemed founders, Thiru M. Arun Kumar assumed responsibilities as Correspondent and Principal in 1994 at a remarkably young age — beginning a transformative era of progress, expansion, and modernisation.
With a value-based philosophy emphasising character, discipline, and academic excellence, he grew the school from 70 students to over 4,000 students by 2008, acquiring land and constructing spacious, well-ventilated classrooms despite major challenges.
